Suffer not the witch to live. Burn the Unclean!

So i got to talking with a certain God of Snow the other day, and proposed the idea for an Azeroth based campaign setting for my regular gaming group. Following the Warcraft universe and based either in Pathfinder or D&D 4th ed. or some hybridization of the two, it looks like it'll shape up pretty well! There's no shortage of visuals, plot hooks or adventure locations and themes to explore within such a well thought out world, not to mention the ease of using WoW's extensive OST to help build fitting ambiance.

Although I'm the usual DM, the cogs started turning while I was browsing my folders of amazing WoW tcg art and got to thinking what kind of character I'd play if I were adventuring in this setting. Behold: Elwynn Penderghast, cleric of the Scarlet Crusade, Priestess of the Holy Fire and Scourge of the Unclean.

Notes:
Elywnn was orphaned at a young age by the scourge that swept across the Eastern Kingdoms. She was the daughter of a Baker in the capital of Lordaeron, and one of the few survivors from the desolation of the Lich King. Saved by a devout member of the Church of the Light, she was taken in by the Scarlet Crusade and grew up within their walls. Young at the time, their overzealous lifestyle is all she knows.

Devout in all aspects of her life and harboring a burning hatred for the undead, she takes up her mace in defense of her homeland with the hope that one day, the unclean can be purged from the land and the Eastern Kingdoms saved. She is fairly xenophobic, even towards other races within the Alliance, and is uncompromising when it comes to matters of faith. She has never traveled outside of the human kingdoms, let alone set foot in the city of Stormwind and as a result knows little to nothing of the ways of the world.

Despite her shortcomings, Elwynn (named after the birthplace of her mother) has a good heart and wants only what she has come to think is best for her people. She won't turn a blind eye to those suffering around her and will always act in accordance to the strict tenants of her brotherhood.
